What is the Product Owner Agent?
The vision for this agent is to become a self-sufficient, always-on virtual product owner - one that absorbs scattered tribal knowledge and turns it into clear, actionable deliverables.
To achieve that, we embedded an AI “team mate” inside Trimble’s existing tool chain. The agent connects to Jira, Notion, Confluence, Slack & Google Chat, and Google Drive; ingests XLS, PDF, and DOC files; and mines historic Jira tickets for context. From there it:
Joins Slack huddles to capture discussion points.
Accepts plain-language tasks from humans (e.g., “Draft an epic for multi-currency checkout”).
Generates epics, user stories, acceptance criteria, and technical notes directly in Jira or Notion.
Updates product documentation in Confluence and pushes progress summaries back into Slack channels.
The project is still evolving, yet major milestones include unifying decades of scattered docs into a single RAG knowledge base and auto-drafting 70% of new user stories.
